Weekly rainfall totals greater than 15mm were scarce across the Australian continent this week, with the exception of parts of inland and south-eastern Western Australia extending into south-western Northern Territory, and areas in western South Australia. Isolated falls greater than 50mm were recorded in parts of WA's Southern Interior.
On 12 and 13 September, a cold front and the associated trough moved across parts of southern Australia generating light to moderate rainfall.
