Australia’s grassfed cattle transaction levy could rise from $5 to $6 a head by July 2028 under recommendations to be put to levy payers at next month’s MLA annual general meeting, with greater emphasis on levy accountability and more funding proposed for industry representation, biosecurity, the National Residue Survey and integrity systems.
