The ideal candidate has at least 3 years post apprenticeship experience, will be hands-on and results driven, with the desire to make this a long term position. Technical and diagnostic knowledge is paramount for this position, as is attention to detail and pride in your work as an Agricultural technician.
During harvest there will be plenty of opportunity for overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct pre-delivery inspections and configure machinery to meet customer requirements, including installation of manufacturer-approved upgrades and modifications to mechanical and hydraulic systems.
Perform seasonal inspections and servicing of agricultural and heavy equipment. Assess equipment condition, identify required repairs, and prepare labour and parts estimates for customer quotations.
Collect and document technical field data to support engineering teams in resolving software and hardware issues.
Carry out advanced diagnostics on electronically controlled machinery, including CAN-based systems, hydraulic systems, and onboard controllers. Record system readings and fault codes to accurately identify and resolve issues.
Complete scheduled maintenance and repair work, ensuring all required parts and consumables are organised prior to site visits.
Ensure all completed work meets manufacturer specifications by conducting pre- and post-repair testing of electrical and hydraulic systems in line with technical manuals and service bulletins.
